Sally is a part owner of five optometry stores in rural Victoria and New South Wales and has been using Ezylink for over 10 years.
Sally from Blue Frog Optics would recommend Ezylink to any business that is taking money in exchange for goods or services.
Apart from the mammoth time saving, the business owners have found that without Ezylink it would just not be possible to manually input accurately the detailed data from their point-of-sale Optomate to run a multitude of segmented reports in their accounting software.
When Blue Frog Optics opened their first store in Mildura in about 2008, their focus was on in-store processes and attracting customers. After about twelve months the business partners started to turn their attention on the back end and accounting processes. The reporting available through Optomate was limited and to get useful and accurate reporting from accounting software required detailed data.
“I knew there had to be an easier way than inputting data. I can’t even imagine how long it would take someone to enter the data across all five practises.” Sally said.
“Ezylink is not something we could do without; it is such a major time saver”
Blue Frog Optics installed Ezylink at their first store and have rolled out in all stores as the business has expanded. Each installation has been straightforward and across five stores, Sally says she feels fortunate that not much has gone wrong. When there has been an issue, it has usually been to do with an incorrect date or code and has been easily rectified.
Overall, Sally has found Ezylink very low maintenance, even at annual registration renewal time there hasn’t been new or updated software to install just a code to enter to continue registration.
Sally has also found that Ezylink is particularly useful for optometry practices as some items have GST and others do not for example some lenses and frames, Ezylink automatically and accurately transfers this data. “I can’t imagine how optometry business would manage without Ezylink or something like it,” Sally said.
